Do You Have the Passion to Dance?

Maybe most of us here have watched a lot of movies regarding dance and the different varieties of it. One of the movies that I have seen regarding dance was the sequel of Step Up the Movie. It does show great talents on how they dance and the different genre of their dances.

But particularly I did post the question to ask you if you have the passion to dance before the Lord Jesus Christ. I do dance, but I offer it to God alone and it is not the same dance that we often see on television. The dance of this world is offered not to God but to the god of this world.

We Christians should realize that what we do here on earth will just be a practice of what we are going to do for eternity, not unless you fall short of that vision. A passion is something that you desire no matter how hard it will be. In any circumstance, you still can find time to practice it and be patient to improve your craft and maintain the flame that is within you. What is important is that you share this passion to others by encouraging them no matter how they say they have two left feet. If your heart says so, then why not try it. Age is not the reason why you hinder yourself to dance. You only need to practice and once you are used to it, there will be no reason to feel shy. But of course, nobody should force you on something that you don’t want to do in the first place. It also needs courage to stand up and be brave on what you do.

Passion to dance cannot be dictated by anyone. You need to be initiative and see to it that you like what you do and not because others just influenced you. If your only motive to dance before God is to show off and be made known to others, then it is all vague and you have missed the real point. It is not because of you, it is because of God who has given you everything, including His life. So in order to give back the love that God showed, dancing before Him is really a form of praise and adoration. Would you like to dance before God?

Psalm 149:3 “Let them praise his name in the dance: let them sing praises unto him with the timbrel and harp.”

Hi Strawberrychocodahi,

Greetings! I hope this letter will find you well.

I am so blessed to have found your site. As a dancer and worshipper of God. I have been looking for a site that would help me out in training my students not just in tambourine patterns but as well as their spiritual foundation. As i was browsing thru your blogs i noticed that we have the same foundation. And i felt like i was back home and reading my dance leader's teachings. i just want to ask your permission if it would be ok for me to use some of your blogs regarding dance. i would like to say more but unfortunately i am in my office right now,can please email me back so i can get in touch with you and will request you for some of the tambourine patterns since it's been a long while since i had someone to remind me of the patterns i once learned in highschool.

thanks for your time.

God Bless you more for your labor!!!
