Garments of Praise on Tambourine Dancing

No matter what you decide on the Garments of Praise for your group, it is important that those garments represents holiness, decency, purity, unity of the group, simplicity and most especially will match for the theme your church are celebrating.

The easiest for us to think of using is a white colored shirt topped with Pashmina textile in vibrant colors that unifies us as a group. It is also important to tie the hair and make it look neat so that there will be no interruption when you dance.

A simple pearl-like white earring would do good to match the dress but just don’t use anything which is dangling and never ever use your watch while you are dancing. It is also important that when we dance the tambourine, our fingernails are clean and trimmed. I have never ever seen a tambourine dancer wearing a distracting colored nail polished fingernails that are so long. Most of us are really disciplined not to grow our nails long and keep it clean and simple.

But whatever is your motive, it is the heart that matters the most right? But do you think you represent God when you dress improper clothes like jeans and revealing clothes while you’re on the stage performing a dance you said is offered to the Almighty God? I don’t think so. Apostle Paul told us in1 Timothy 2:9-10 “I also want women to dress modestly, with decency and propriety, not with braided hair or gold or pearls or expensive clothes, but with good deeds, appropriate for women who profess to worship God.

We as Tambourine Dancers should be modest in our clothing. We do not dress like the world does. We do not act like the world does and we do not dance like what the world does. I have nothing against those who are wearing jeans on churches. I am talking about ministers who dance before God to consider very carefully on what to prepare as their Garment of Praise before they dance. Here are sample pictures I have from the past church activities we have.
